Top Political Blogs – Your Chance to Vote

Click here to vote in the Total Politics Best Blogs Poll 2010

Left Futures is new to this game but old hands on the Left like Socialist Unity, Labour List,  and A Very Public Sociologist seem to think that being listed in the league tables helps to promote alternative left voices. Phil’s argument is:

Seeing as socialism is still a dirty word (despite Andy Burnham’s sterling efforts, snort) it is vitally important comrade bloggers build up more of a following, especially given the fractious and angry period we’re about to enter.

So please do vote. Here are the rules :

  1. You must vote for your ten favourite blogs and ranks them from 1 (your favourite) to 10 (your tenth favourite).
  2. Your votes must be ranked from 1 to 10. Any votes which do not have rankings will not be counted.
  3. You MUST include at least FIVE blogs in your list, but please list ten if you can. If you include fewer than five, your vote will not count.
  4. Email your vote to toptenblogs@totalpolitics.com
  5. Only vote once.
  6. Only blogs based in the UK, run by UK residents or based on UK politics are eligible. No blog will be excluded from voting.
  7. Anonymous votes left in the comments will not count. You must give a name.
  8. All votes must be received by midnight on 31 July 2010. Any votes received after that date will not count.

Phil is wrong on this, this web site is run and financed by reactionary arseholes who must get enormous amusement out of socialists queuing up to gain access to their silly lists. This is a beauty contest of the worst time.

If you wish to have a list of top left blogs, organise one yourselves, do not leave it for a bunch or neo-liberal cheerleaders. The way this powder puff is run should have forewarned you, why do you feel Dale asks for ten nominations from each individual. Get a grip.

Why any comrade would wish to have total politics logo on their blog amasses me, why not just stick i’m a gullible fool, vote tory up.
