I am a life long Labour Supporter but feel totally let down by the abstainers and absentee Labour MPs who should of made sure that this cap wasnt voted for.

I am disabled and ill all the time and feel like the life is being sucked out of me by Tory MPs and now I see the Labour MPs want to finish the job.

Its about time that all Labour MPs realised that we need a credible Labour Party with their own policies and not still pushing austerity down our throats.
I need a Labour Party that is compassionate and caring plus a party who will back the Disabled and fight the descrimination that is aimed at us.
I need something to live for ………please start to think!!!

There are many millions of people like me out there that could sway the vote to Labour but if you arent going to look after the disabled and vulnerable then we wont be voting yeh much like the way you didnt vote on the above issue.

    Labour Party THINK NOW!!!

    1. Jon Lansman says:

Barclay, you may feel let down by the abstainers and absentees, but why are you nbopt much ore let down by the vast majority of Labour MPs who voted in favour of the welfare cap?

  2. Alan says:

I think you left out Caroline Lucas of the Greens? According to other sources she also voted against the welfare cap.

    1. Jon Lansman says:

Alan: Caroline Lucas was not listed as voting against in Hansard (see here). She either abstained or (more likely) was not present for the vote.

      1. Alan says:

Unfortunately I can’t find a full list of all Absentees so we don’t really know. Another website has listed her as one of the Noes.

  3. swatantra says:

Why is Lucas even mentioned? She isn’t even Labour.

    1. Alan says:

Well the MPs listed under Plaid Cymru, the SNP, Respect and SDLP aren’t ‘even Labour’ either are they, and they’re listed…?! More to the point, those first three parties are far more to the left on most issues than Labour is.

  4. swatantra says:

Quite a significant number of Labour MPs abstained or took the day off. They should let us know which side of the fence they sit.
