Funny how that quote has really caught everyone’s imagination. I wrote, *cough*, sorry, found it in a book of quotes. It has flown round Twitter, Facebook and is now being published on blogs and elsewhere. I have even had emails from people asking for a reference for it.
Oh dear….. but if it’s everywhere, it’s a shame not to tell a perfectly good story which is entirely true to the nature of Bullingdon man even if Dave didn’t utter the words himself.
But if it’s not true, then to form an opinion based on it is literally, insane. Sorry to be a bore, I’m sure you’d LIKE it to be a true quote (me too), but it isn’t. Using fictional events as an argument to substantiate your beliefs is you having unsubstantiated beliefs.

Whatever the provenance of the quote … it just sums this government up.
