Labour’s policy review – time to get your views in

Six new (but very short) policy statements (which you can view or download here) were circulated to local Labour parties, affiliated organisations and other stakeholders after the May elections and the national policy forum meets again in Birmingham on 16/7 June. Although timescales are short, you and your local party do have the opportunity to feed your views known into the process. If you do so by Monday 12 June, they will be fed into the policy forum meeting in Birmingham but submissions by the end of June will still reach policy commissions as they make amendments to the six policy documents before they go to Annual Conference.

To assist discussion, the Campaign for Labour Party Democracy has prepared some bullet points on each policy paper. To download these and the original papers, click on each heading below. The email address for responses is also provided for each topic.

Britain in the World: policy paper; CLPD note BiW; address for response.
Crime, Justice, Citizenship and Equalities: policy paper; CLPD note CJaddress for response.
Education and Skills: policy paper; CLPD note E&Haddress for response.
Health: policy paper; CLPD note E&Haddress for response.
Prosperity and Work: policy paper; CLPD note P&Waddress for response.
Sustainable Communities: policy paper; CLPD note SCaddress for response.

We’s also recommend that you/your CLP copy any submissions to your NEC representatives and NPF members for your region.
